The Villas of South Commons

The Villas of South Commons are conveniently located adjacent to downtown Deerfield. Two mass transit options are only a few minutes away on foot: The Pace bus service, and the Metra rail service. The close proximity of both transit options afford you easy access to other communities along the North Shore and downtown Chicago.

Pace Bus Service

Pace buses operate primarily Monday-Saturday. The closest stop to The Villas of South Commons is located in front of the senior home located at 733 Osterman Avenue -- which is in between the Osterman Ave / Robert York Ave intersection, and the Deerfield Post Office.

Metra Rail Service

The Metra Rail service is a great alternative to avoid the traffic driving into Chicago. Deerfield is situated approximately in the center of the Milwaukee District North Line - one of Metra's North Suburban train lines.

. Northbound: 40 minutes from Deerfield to Fox Lake

Ticket office hours are: M-F, 5:00am-12:45pm.

While tickets may always be purchased from the conductor on the train, you'll realize a significant savings if you buy them at the ticket office in the station.

There are several parking options scattered around the train station. While some lots indicate that they are Permit Parking Only, all of the numbered parking spaces are available to the public for a nominal charge. Payment facilities are located adjacent to each of the numbered parking areas. Simply locate the slot that matches your parking space number, and deposit the fee in accordance with the following schedule:

.  Weekdays: 6am -10am: $1.50
.  Weekdays: After 10am: Free
.  Weekends: Free
